CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
YOGA NIDRA
Yoga Nidra, or “enlightened sleep,” is a comprehensive method for maximizing health and well-being. At a deepest level, yoga nidra can be a profoundly spiritual practice and a powerful way to reshape the subconscious mind. This class requires you do nothing but lay comfortably on the yoga mat and tune in to move into stillness.
YOGA FOR ATHLETES
This moderately-paced class supports athletes and other strong humans in their endeavors off the mat, from increasing strength and flexibility to improving mental resilience. You will use asana (physical poses), pranayama (breath work) and mindfulness to help enhance performance, improve recovery, relieve stress, and support healthy sleep.
TACTICAL YOGA
In this class, you will practice yoga as healing bodywork that you perform upon yourself. You will learn how to use active (yang) and passive (yin) poses to improve mobility and reduce pain. In addition, you will be introduced to myofascial trigger point therapy which will allow you to identify and self-treat the causes of pain or mobility conditions.
YIN SOME AND THEN SOME
You will not do the poses in this class. The poses will do you. A yin practice uses passive versus active poses to target deep connective tissue to unwind the physical body. The slow, mindful pace helps you cultivate the ability to sit amiably with your thoughts versus being consumed by them.
SUNDAY GOSPEL WITH HEATHER
All levels
Part reverent, part irreverent, this moderately paced, musically infused and very unique practice blends tradition with playful edge. Designed for athletes and strong humans of all kinds, it balances Sthira (strength and effort) with Sukha (sweetness and ease), both on and off the mat.
Through asana (movement), pranayama (breath work), dhyāna (mindfulness), and other self-care tools, you’ll build strength and flexibility, boost mental resilience, enhance performance, improve recovery, and support better sleep.
This class is hard—but it’s not all hard. It’s also fun—but not just fun.
You’ll always leave having learned something new.
